Hello! I'm Sam, technical director at bzb IT
Sam is certified to Network Professional level and takes ownership of our technical blueprint. His primary responsibility is to ensure bzb IT is at the forefront of understanding how SMEs adopt the latest IT in a secure & cost effective way. He also oversees our professional services division, where he leads our team in delivering change programmes for our clients.
What do you enjoy doing outside of work?
Anyone who plays golf and cricket will know it’s not done for “enjoyment” but simply to see how quickly you can ruin the limited free time you get, and for some reason I waste copious amounts of time doing that – it’s the hope that kills you! Joking aside, I like to keep active as best I can, and family takes up most of my free time these days, both of which I enjoy immensely.
What is your favourite aspect of working at bzb IT?
In the time I’ve been in the industry, IT has gone from a cost centre to a true business enabler, and that pace of change is only increasing. I love being part of an organisation that sees a rapidly changing technology landscape as a positive and is excited to be part of it. I enjoy looking ahead, trying new ideas, and pushing what we as a team can do next. But without doubt my favourite aspect is being the safety net that gives un-confident but absolutely capable people the reassurance to take on technical work they might otherwise avoid. Seeing their growth turn into better real world outcomes for the clients we support is the cherry on top.
